Friday, October 12th, 2012, 9am to 1pm at Duck Pond & Parks
Neighbors!
Grab your rakes, shovels and work gloves and join us for the Park Clean-Up Days. There are chores that all family members can do to help get the parks ready for fall.
The weather for our Park Clean Up Days is going to be beautiful. We will provide bottled water, paper trash bags and colored tape to mark your tools so you won't lose them (I lost my favorite clippers last spring)…
On Friday from 9am to 1pm we will be focusing on the main park. Projects include trimming shrubs, raking mulch, cleaning storm drains and picking up hundreds if not thousands of sticks.
On Sunday from 2-5pm we will focus on the middle and lower parks. Projects are raking mulch on Potomac that got washed with the last rain, filling in holes where trees once were and picking up sticks.
There will be many other things to do especially in the main park but this should give you some idea of what tools to bring.
Your park thanks you for your help and we look forward to seeing you this weekend.
Alice and Ted Taylor
PS - Please note that the corrected time to meet on Sunday is from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
